“Now”, Elrohir thought “I know how it must feel like to face Fёanor’s wrath”. Suffice to say he was glad it wasn’t directed at him but he did wonder what Valaríamrûn had done to make Fёanor THAT angry. Val and Fёanor were facing off in Elrond’s courtyard with at least half of New Imladris watching and the Spirit of Fire did his name justice, blazing like a white flame as only he could. Elrohir had seen a few elves in fury before but none of them shone as bright as Fёanor did, not even the great Balrog Slayer Glorfindel. Across the yard Maedhros and Faramir were silently talking to each other. It seemed like Faramir was trying to convince Maedhros to calm his father down. The big elf though didn’t look too keen on that idea, if things wouldn’t have been so serious Elrohir would have laughed at that. Here was a very big, ancient elf frightened by someone only half his size. Elrohir wasn’t stupid though and kept those thoughts to himself. The tension in the air rose to almost unbearable levels, but just as everyone thought there would be another kinslaying something completely unexpected happened. The onlookers couldn’t believe their eyes, apparently neither could Fёanor. That happened next however came even more unexpected. Val held Fёanor tight and said almost wistful: “So cute ♥”. It was later told that several onlookers fainted in disbelief. It was also told that several elves shot jealous glances in Fёanor direction (The husbands of said elves however were relieved to see that Val already seemed to have a love interest other than their husbands or wives). Faramir later had to be comforted by the sons of Fёanor; some say they suggested a threesome... Fёanor still doesn’t know that to make of this. |
